Brenta's riverbanks

Located between the provinces of Padua and Venice, the Riviera del Brenta offers enchanting itineraries to be traveled on foot, by bike or by cruise on the Burchiello, an evolution of the typical 18th-century Venetian boat.

Among the many villas dotting the route, an obligatory stop is at Villa Pisani in Stra (VE), winner of the Most Beautiful Park in Italy award in 2008, inside which it is possible to "get lost" in the famous Labyrinth.

Another villa to visit in Stra, which follows the shoe manufacturing tradition of the area, is Villa Foscarini Rossi, home of the Museo della Calzatura (Footwear Museum), where 1,500 models of high-fashion women's footwear, produced in over seventy years of activity in collaboration with the most prestigious brands in the industry, are on display.

If you love nature you can book a guided tour of the WWF Oasis of Valle Averto, in the municipality of Campagna Lupia (VE) where you will discover the great environmental variety of plants and animals of the Riviera.

And if you've worked up an appetite after all these tours, you're spoiled for choice among trattorias, taverns, and restaurants where you can enjoy fish and shellfish dishes typical of the Lagoon and the Adriatic.
